Programs
Tiger Cubs is an exciting program
for first grade boys and adult family members.
Cub Scouting is a family and
home-centered program for boys who are in the second grade (or age 8).
Tiger Cubs
A
school-year program for first grade (or 7 year old) boys and their adult
partners that stresses simplicity, shared leadership, learning about the
community, and family understanding. Each boy/adult team meets for family
activities, then once or twice a month all the teams meet for Tiger Cub group
activities.
The
Tiger Cub program introduces boys and their adult partners to the excitement of
Cub Scouting as they "Search, Discover, and Share" together.
The
Tiger Cub program is conducted on two levels. First, the Tiger Cub and his
adult partner meet in the home to conduct activities for the whole family.
Second, the Tiger Cub and his adult partner meet twice a month with other Tiger
Cubs and adult partners in the den, using the planned "big idea" (or
theme) for their activity during one of the meetings. Each den meeting is
hosted by a Tiger
Cub-adult partner team.
Tiger Cubs BSA follows a school-year cycle. Boys remain in
the Tiger Cub program until they complete first grade. At that time, they
graduate into a Cub Scout den and are eligible to participate in Cub Scout
summer activities, including Cub Scout day camp.
· In 1930, the Boy Scouts of America launched a home and neighborhood-centered program for boys 9 to 11 years of age. A key element of the program is a basis on caring, nurturing, relationships between boys and their parents, adult leaders, and friends.
· Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA’s three membership divisions. (The others are Boy Scouting and Venturing.)
Boys’ Life magazine is published by the Boy Scouts of America to give Scout leaders theme-related BSA program support each month; to give boys wholesome, interesting, and informative reading material; and to bring the values of Scouting into the subscriber’s home on a regular basis.

Parents, would you like your son to do good things in his
community, learn good values, and associate with other good kids and adults?
Boys, would you like to learn how to build things, learn about
nature, have a great time learning cool stuff and having fun with your friends?
HOW DO I SIGN UP OR VOLUNTEER?
If you would like to join a program or be a volunteer, send an e-mail to our
Cubmaster and we will make sure you get an application and get placed in the
appropriate den.
